This Summer I have taken advantage of the area surrounding Calgary. I ventured to new places and have met some interesting people along the way. The results are some new photos I am putting up on the site. In the past I have had problems with regular viewers searching for new additions. To make it easier I have created a new folder in my gallery called ‘NEW’. 
As mentioned in an earlier post I have recently become a contributing artist to Art a la Carte. I am proud to announce that, besides being in their rotating collection at patient bedsides, my image titled Serenity has become part of the Footprints Gallery’s permanent collection in the Calgary’s Foothills Hospital. Serenity is located near the end of the administrative hallway leading towards the atrium before the Tom Baker Center.

Community Natural Foods in Calgary has recently chosen In My Grandmother’s Garden (sunflower picture) as an image to permanently hang in their downtown store located at 1304-10th Ave. SW. Community Natural Foods is known not only for their natural organic foods but also their commitment to a greener community. I am very proud to be a part of this company’s visual appearance and I do look forward to further working with them in the future. I have recently become involved with a group called Art a la Carte. They are a non-profit organization that 
provides artwork as decoration for cancer patients at Foothills Hospital in Calgary. I am pleased to say that a few of my photos are in their collection. If you are visiting Spehar Photography for the first time then Welcome!! If you are returning to the site you have probably noticed that there have been some changes. The site has been updated into more of a ‘blog’ like setting. None of the old features have been discarded except that you are welcomed with news and updates, like this one, when you first arrive here.I truly need to thank Jeff Burns for doing all of this for me. I am very lucky to have him in my corner.
Please be patient with me as I get used to managing these changes. Keep an eye on this site for some special items that I was not able to easily post on the old website. Also watch for my upcoming exhibition at The Auburn Salloon for the month of November.
